Thanks to an alert citizen, several individuals have been arrested in Bowie County on charges that include burglary of a vehicle.

Bowie County Sheriffs Deputies were called recently to Cardinal Lane, just west of Texarkana on a suspicious vehicle. Authorities say the call came in after a home owner saw suspicious behavior by a driver in the neighborhood.

Authorities say a short time later, Deputy Westin Fannin, who had responded to the call, found a vehicle matching the description a short distance away, parked in a driveway on Carroll Lane.

As he approached the vehicle, a male subject ran from the garage area and hopped in the back seat, and a female was in the driver's seat. The deputy also saw a handgun laying in the floorboard of the vehicle.

Westin was dubious of the pairs explanation of what they were doing in the neighborhood and asked and was granted consent to search their vehicle.. Authorities allege the deputy found a purse, two masks, several bandannas, a BB gun, a drill, a tool bag, a radar detector, two vehicle television screens, and a pipe commonly used for smoking methamphetamine.

Investigators determined the purse to have allegedly to have been stolen from another vehicle. They arrested the pair on burglary of a vehicle charges. Authorities allege that the driver, 19 year old Katelin Marie Jordan of New Boston, Texas confessed to driving 20 year old Eric Lamont Turner,of Texarkana, ARK., and Brian Jackson, around to different locations, where she would park their vehicle, the two men would exit the vehicle and return a short time later with stolen property.

The pair were booked into the Bi-State Justice Center Jail, with Turner also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Authorities say they were still looking for Jackson.
