T.I.S.D. To Offer Summer Sports Camps

The Texarkana, Texas I.S.D. is offering up several different summer sports camps for area kids.First, a Softball Camp will be held at the Texas High School Softball Field Monday June 11 through Wednesday June 13. The camp will be offered to students entering grades 1 thru 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Registration is $50 per participant and all will receive a complimentary t-shirt.

Next the Texas High Tigers Summer Basketball Camp will take place Tuesday July 17th thru Thursday July 19th at the Tiger Center, 4001 Summerhill Road. This camp will offer individualized instruction in fundamental phases of basketball, including defense, rebounding, shooting, ball handling and passing. The camp will be offered to boys entering grades 1 thru 5 from  9 a.m. to 12 noon. Early registration is $70 dollars and day of registration is $80. All participants need to wear basketball shoes, socks, t-shirt and shorts. Participants receive a complimentary t-shirt and an awards ceremony will be held at the close of the camp session.

Finally, the Texas High Volleyball Camp is to be held Monday July 30 thru Thursday August 2 inside the Tiger Center. Camp is offered to students entering grades 8 and 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday July 30 and 31. For students entering grades 5 thru 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday August 1 and 2. Registration is $10 and all participants will receive a pizza lunch and camp t-shirt.
