It looks like Tony Romo will be taking a leap from the NFL to the CBS lily pad.

Well, they weren’t going to have a Young Sheldon without at least giving the old Sheldon a proper sendoff. The Big Bang Theory is officially confirmed for a whopping forty-eight more episodes with a two-season renewal, but will it be their last?

Even before pushing back its premiere and losing Bryan Fuller as showrunner, Star Trek: Discovery had a world of work to justify fans signing up for CBS All-Access to watch. CBS naturally sees the new Trek as a flagship attraction, but it seems bosses didn’t think Star Trek: Discovery would have survived broadcast demands anyway.

CBS’ cord-cutting All-Access service was bound to bulk up by the exclusive addition of Star Trek: Discovery, but fans rightly balked at notions that the service would still feature ads atop its monthly $5.99 pricetag. Now, CBS has confirmed an ad-free model, but it’s predictably going to cost you.

Paramount has understandably kept Star Trek focus on the new movie, but we may not wait long for the first major details of Bryan Fuller’s new CBS All-Access series. Not only does the showrunner confirm new details on casting and premise will likely arrive “around Comic-Con,” so too do we know that the series will tell a complete story over 13 episodes.

If yesterday seemed abnormally bright, it might have had something to do with the adorable first photos of Supergirl and The Flash crossing over for the former’s March 28 “Worlds Finest.” You just knew there had to be a race as well, the first footage of which arrives in a new crossover tease!

Star Trek’s rebooted cinematic tenure under J.J. Abrams has led to diminishing returns, Star Trek 3 just barely making it off the ground, leading many to wonder when Gene Roddenberry’s iconic franchise might return to its TV roots. That time may already be upon us, CBS is reportedly looking to boldly go forward with a new TV Star Trek.

Well, no major changing of the guard here, as actor Jim Parsons tonight takes home the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series award at the 2014 Emmy Awards for his role as brilliant 'Big Bang Theory' egghead Sheldon Cooper.

Now that 'How I Met Your Mother' spinoff 'How I Met Your Dad' seems to have fallen through, the CBS lineup looks a little bereft of anything we might normally follow. And now with CBS' acquisition of Thursday Night Football, the full fall 2014 schedule looks a little jumbled with 'The Big Bang Theory' filling in for 'HIMYM' Mondays, while 'Elementary' and others move to October to accommodate football.

Last night saw future 'Late Show' host Stephen Colbert dropping by David Letterman's standing regime to preview a bit of his impending takeover, dropping the 'Colbert Report' character for the genuine article. We've seen that Colbert apparently had something of a past with the program, but for those more interested in his future, check out Colbert's first official 'Late Show' Top Ten!

Well, that was fast! Just one week after David Letterman dropped the 'Late Show' bombshell that he would retire in 2015, his replacement has officially been announced. Following early and decisive rumors, Stephen Colbert will officially leave behind Comedy Central's 'Colbert Report' to ascend the late-night throne as the new host of CBS' 'The Late Show.' You're welcome, nation!
