George Jones Retiring After 58 Years in Country Music

George Strait is not the only one doing a farewell concert this year. George Jones will end his 58-year career as one of country music's legendary icons with a final performance on Nov. 22 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. Randy Travis, Jamey Johnson, the Charlie Daniels Band and Lorrie Morgan will share the stage with the possum for what's sure to be a historic event.

Thompson Square and Phil Vassar are two of the artists confirmed so far for Charlie Daniels’ 11th Anniversary of the Charlie Daniels Band and Friends Concert. The 2012 Christmas 4 Kids benefit will take place on Monday, Nov. 19 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville.
