The holiday season is here and it's apparent with some new releases this weekend. The biggest movie of epic purport-ions is the final chapter in the Twilight series,  'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, Part 2.  Another big time movie is 'Lincoln' for all the history buffs out there. Follow that up with some romance and fantasy with 'Anna Karenina.' Even though I'm about vamped out gotta go with Tw

Only a couple of movies in theaters this weekend and one is expected to be a blockbuster. James Bond 007 is back for an action spy thriller in 'Skyfall.' If that's not your forte, how the comedy 'Nature Calls'? My personal pick, I've gotta go with 007!

Well, it could be a November to remember at the box office starting this weekend. November is packed with a ton of new releases coming out just in time for the holiday season. Instead of looking at just this weekend's movie releases, I thought it would be cool to look at the entire month and give you a sneak peek of what to expect on the big screen in the coming weeks.

Heading into the last weekend before Halloween there are plenty of surprises at the box office-  from epic to adventurous, from funny to spooky, and yes, even fun-size. Cloud Atlas with Tom Hanks looks intriguing and is my pick for this week.

Several new movies hit the local theater this weekend. If you're looking for comedy, horror, or some independent films, this weekend offers up a mixed bag of flicks. I think my personal pick is going to be the new Kevin James comedy "Here Comes the Boom."

There's nothing like starting out the month of October with some chills and thrills at the box office. One of my favorite actors, Liam Neeson, is back with a sequel - Taken 2. And if you want a little fright in your night, check out the family movie Frankenweenie 3D or the horror flick 'V/H/S.'  My personal pick this weekend is Taken 2.

Fall has finally arrived and so have the movies and this weekend there are three new movies that are sure to delight you. I like movies about time travel and 'Looper' has plenty of action and thrills to keep you interested. If that's not your thing, there is an animated family movie out just in time for the Halloween season - 'Hotel Transylvania.' And finally, something to inspire you with a littl

Going to see a movie in Texarkana this weekend? There are several new ones to choose from including a good cops gone bad action movie. And if you liked Robo Cop then you will most likely enjoy the futuristic thriller Dredd 3D'. If you want to be scared to death try the House Down the Street for some horrific fun. Also, Clint Eastwood returns to the big screen for a baseball story that's worth seei

Lots of chills and thrills at the movies this weekend with the addition of three new movies to choose from. Perhaps the biggest is the 3D version of "Finding Nemo." After that it's a war epic "Last Ounce of Courage' and finally the franchise series continues with 'Resident Evil: Retribution. To tell you the truth I thing watching Nemo in 3D would be a lot of fun. That's my pick for

Looks like only two new movies open this weekend in Texarkana. If you want a little action mixed with espionage and a lot of bullets, try out the new Bruce Willis flick. Want some drama? Watch Bradley Cooper in a story about plagiarism.

Seems like more and more these days that new movies are starting on Wednesday rather than the traditional Friday release.  And for the record two movies opened on Wednesday:  ‘Lawless’ and ‘The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure.’ I hate to say this but the Oogieloves characters kind of creep me out. Speaking about being creeped out, the Friday release is "The Possession" need I say
