What's your staple when it comes to grilling in the great outdoors?

Memorial Day signifies the beginning of the summer season. Americans will take to the road for some vacation time or just to spend the weekend at our area lakes with family and friends. Some will choose to stay at home and do a family cookout. But let's just take a moment and remember those American soldiers who gave their lives so we that can enjoy the freedom we have today.

The Texarkana area will honor the memory of service men and women at several Memorial Day weekend events.

Texans recently received some good news regarding fireworks. Thanks to some new legislation that just passed, it will now allow people to purchase fireworks for three occasions other than just the 4th of July and New Year's Eve.

Memorial Day is about more than just cookouts, picnics, water fun, and a day off from school or work. It is about honoring our service men and women who have died while serving our country, and to remember those who served proudly and have since passed on.

The place to be this Memorial holiday weekend is Riverfest 2015, on the banks of the Arkansas River in Little Rock May-22-24.

Events are scheduled for both sides of the city to remember our fallen heroes this Memorial Day. Take the time to share with your friends and neighbors to honor our local men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Memorial Weekend means a lot of things for people it means the end of the school season, the beginning of the summer season, vacations and more.
