Federal prosecutors announced today that Shannon Richardson, 35, of New Boston, Texas has been officially charged following her arrest on June 7 after she allegedly sent ricin-poisoned letters to President Barack Obama, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and the director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Mark Glaze.
The media and officials have been searching for the person responsible for sending three ricin-laced letters to President Obama, New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg and the director of Mayors Against Illegal Guns since the notes were found during routine mail screenings in May. But now officials have now taken a culprit into custody.
The FBI and other law enforcement agencies are combing through a New Boston, Texas residence looking for possible clues and evidence in connection with ricin tainted letters sent to the President, and the New York City Mayor.
