There is road construction beginning on Monday on Moores Lane in Texarkana that will make traveling in that area difficult.

I don't know about you but with the long holiday weekend fast approaching it can really be a pain when you caught up in road construction. Not only does it cause delays but it can be very stressful depending on what type of construction is going on and how bad the work zones are.

A section of US 67 west of Texarkana will receive a new riding surface this summer according to plans approved in March by the Texas Department of Transportation.

In a press release report from TxDot Atlanta District, road work is scheduled from March 19-25, 2017 in the following areas in East Texas.

Hempstead County Road Department, Arkansas Highway & Transportation Department and Contractors with Salt Creek Paving & Construction will begin a State Aid leveling and resealing overlay project on Hempstead County Road 248 beginning on Monday April 25, 2016.
