March 8, 2012 Runner-up to last season's American Idol Lauren Alaina returns to the Idol stage tonight (3/8) Lauren will be singing her current single "Georgia Peaches".
Each week on the remaining episodes of ‘American Idol‘ Season 11, one unfortunate hopeful will have to leave the stage for good. Rather than making that moment more awkward with silence or a peppy pop song spinning in the background, ‘Idol’ commissioned last season’s winner Scotty McCreery to record the farewell song to make it a memorable moment. McCreery chose to do a cover of Tim McGraw‘s 1999 hit, ‘Please Remember Me.’
It’s been a whirlwind and well-documented year for Scotty McCreery with his ‘American Idol‘ win, his No. 1 hit album ‘Clear As Day,’ his busy touring and interview schedule and the time he reserves for family and friends. He’s also going to continue to mix work with school, as he has applied to several colleges — and has just revealed that he’s been accepted to East Carolina. Must be fun to fill out those tedious applications and write those corresponding essays all the while being pranked while on tour with notorious jokester Brad Paisley.
Scotty McCreery isn’t too big to perform with his high school choir. The 18-year-old senior joined the talented singers at Garner High School during a recent Christmas show, singing a version of George Strait‘s ‘Christmas Cookies.’
October 19, 2011 Scotty McCreery is a big fan of baseball. So, you can just imagine his excitement for tonight! Scotty will be at Busch Stadium in St. Louis tonight to sing the National Anthem before Game 1 of the World Series between the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals.
