As the Memorial Day holiday approaches, the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department
is reminding all drivers of the importance of seat belt use. This annual campaign 'Click it or Ticket' is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration’s national Click It or Ticket high-visibility enforcement effort that runs
from May 20, to June 2, 2019.
On Monday, April 29, 2019, the United States Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas, Duane “Dak" Kees, and Assistant U.S. Attorney, Ben Wulff, recognized the investigative efforts of five lawmen from Texarkana Arkansas P.D., Miller County Sheriff’s Office and the F.B.I. The presentation took place in the Reynolds Center on the Southern Arkansas University campus in Magnolia, Arkansas.
A citizen at the Bi-State Justice Center 100 North State Line Avenue observed what they believed to be a suspicious package on the northeast corner of the Bi-State Jail on Monday morning March, 18, at approximately 8:40AM.
Texarkana Arkansas Police Officer Dakota Easley arrested 21 year-old DeWayne Franklin, of Wheatfield Connecticut, and 25 year-old Jermany Tiswell, of Marianna Arkansas, after discovering 10 pounds of marijuana, 4 pounds of THC oil, and ecstasy during a traffic stop om Tuesday, Feb. 19, at approximately 11:30PM.

Captain Doug Avery Central Records and Communications(CRC) of Texarkana along with the Texarkana Arkanasas Police Department wants to notify the general public that Windstream landlines are experiencing an outage in Bowie County as well as in Miller County and are unable to reach 911 today (Jan. 30). The outage occurred around 10:40AM this morning.
Judge Wren Autrey has announced the Miller County District Courts, both City and County Divisions in Texarkana, Arkansas will grant Amnesty beginning January 28, 2019 through March 29, 2019 for individuals that have outstanding warrants for failure to appear, probation violation, or failure to report.
The annual Cops and Kids meal will be this Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Four States Fair Grounds Fine Arts Building. Police Officers of the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department will meet at the station at 5PM and form two convoys; one parade formation will travel to The Texarkana Baptist Orphanage and the other to The Water Springs Ranch.
