October is almost here and that means it is almost fall festival time! Get ready for a fun, free festival at Spring Lake Park as the Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation Department presents their Fall Festival coming on Thursday, October 21.

The Texarkana Texas Parks and Recreation and Police Departments are sponsoring the 2nd Annual "Trunk or Treat" at Spring Lake Park event on October 31. So, let's load up the kiddos, put on those costumes and go get some candy from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. The event is free, and everyone is welcome.

With all the restrictions because of Covid-19 over the last couple of months, one thing we have definitely learned is to appreciate the little things. The other thing we learned is it would have been really, really hard to deal with everything if we didn't have access to the internet!

Movies in The Park at Spring Lake Park gets started this Thursday night!

Summer will be here before you know it and the kids will be out of school. Now is the time to register boys and girls for Summer Youth Basketball at the Southwest Center, Texarkana, Texas.

Protecting our pets can be time-consuming and in most cases pretty costly as well. Good news, the City of Texarkana, Texas Parks and Recreation Department has teamed up with area Veterinarians for an event on  Saturday, October 21.
