Happy to say my buddy Neil Jones just gave me some great news.  The recent Talimena  Run raised more than $4,000 in which a portion went to Hooks Children's Ministry and St. Jude Children Research Center. Some of the riders who participated in the Talimena Run rode their bikes to Memphis, Tenn. to present the hospital with a check of the money they raised. Event Coordinator Neil Jones got a surprise of his own when he was presented with a plaque thanking him for the contribution.

Neil was emotionally shaken by the presentation and hopes to do more for the hospital that is world re- known for it's efforts in fighting childhood cancer.  Jones said than 17 bikes, 24 people, including himself made the run to Memphis. Everyone who made the rally got a first hand tour of St. Jude Research Hospital and got to see what the kids go through on a daily basis. But also, was able to see what this wonderful hospital is doing to help find cures for kids with cancer.

Children at the hospital got to see some of the bikes and Misty Seals handed out 150 do-rags to some very lucky kids.

As most of you know Kicker 102.5 is a huge supporter of St. Jude and we always look forward to our annual Country Cares For St. Jude Radiothon in February.
