Los Santos, the home city of Grand Theft Auto V, isn’t an exact copy of Los Angeles, but it’s pretty close. Close enough for YouTube user John Chapman and his friends to faithfully recreate a classic movie scene set in the City of Angels. Check out the famous truck chase scene from 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day,' recreated in Grand Theft Auto V.

In what had to be a herculean effort, Chapman and co. use multiple capture boxes to reenact every moment of the five-minute scene, and edit them together into an impressively accurate recreation of one of the most memorable action sequences from T2. They don’t hit every mark (red truck instead of black, different camera angles, etc.), but a quick comparison with the actual scene shows that they nail all the major spots. The shot of the semi-truck plowing through the overpass wall is especially effective, as is the bike-to-bike jump, which was pulled off with clever editing.

This is the first movie scene recreation from John Chapman, but we’re hoping there are plenty more coming soon. There are plenty of classic action films set in LA, like 'Boyz n the Hood,' 'The Italian Job,' 'To Live and Die in LA' and 'Beverly Hills Cop,' that are begging to be re-shot in San Andreas.
