Who will be the next Texaco Country Showdown winner? Kicker 102.5 kicked off the 2013 Texaco Country Showdown at the Four States Fair last night (9/16) with the semi-finals.13 contestants from all around the Ark-La-Tex and the region sung their heart out for a chance to come back Thursday night (9/19) at 7:30 p.m. and perform again on the outdoor stage. The field of talent was narrowed down to the final 5 contestants who will get to sing two songs before the judges pick a winner to see who advances to the next round of competition the state finals during the Arkansas State Fair in Little Rock in October.If they win there it's off to the regional finals in Knoxville, TN in November and if they survive that competition it's on to the National finals in Nashville, TN in January, where someone will win $100,000 and become the 2014 Texaco Country Showdown Winner. So come out and cheer for your favorite singer or band and enjoy the music, revel in the fun and watch the birth of a star.

The only ticket you need to watch the show is your ticket to the fair which cost $7 for adults, kids 6 – 12 are $4 and children under four are free of charge. Admission to the competition is free and everyone is invited to attend. So come on out, ya’ll!
