Texarkana Arkansas Board to Talk Street Repairs

The Texarkana Arkansas City Board of Directors meet tonight at 6:30 at City Hall.The board will get an update on the 2012 Street Bond Program that voters earlier approved. Improvements to Arkansas Boulevard, County Avenue, and East 24th Street will be discussed in a presentation by CLB Engineer Craig Beckham.

There will also be a public hearing to receive comments regarding the establishment of "Quiet Zones" and to express concerns for Union Pacific Railroad Trains sitting on the tracks for long periods of time.

There will be a closed executive session too. The public is invited to attend the open portions of tonight's meeting.
