Texarkana Arkansas Police Receives $91,000 Grant

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department has received a substantial state grant.

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department is pleased to announce being the proud recipient of the 2014 Blue & You Foundation of a Healthier Arkansas Grant in the amount of $91,000. TAPD applied for this grant in July of 2013 with other agencies around the state. TAPD was one of 42 programs to receive funding. This is the first time TAPD has applied for this particular grant.

TAPD will work collaboratively with the Southwest Arkansas Taskforce to utilize the $91,000 to implement 6 different programs in the South West Arkansas area. Please see an attached list of the funded programs including a detailed description as well as a press release issued by the Arkansas Blue & You foundation for a list of all 42 programs funded.
