This September marks the 90th year since Texarkana College held its first classes at its original location on Pine Street. Since that day in 1927, hundreds of thousands of students have earned college credits, degrees or certificates from Texarkana College.

In honor of TC’s 90 years of educating this community, the Texarkana College Foundation is conducting a $90 for 90 Campaign to raise scholarship funds for future generations of TC students.

According to a press release, proceeds from the $90 for 90 Campaign will benefit the TC Presidential Scholarship fund established to reward top high school graduates in the College’s service area with up to two years of free tuition and fees at TC. The scholarship fund helps hard working students begin their higher education journey without the financial burden often associated with going to college. The $90 for 90 Campaign will help build the scholarship fund in hopes of permanently endowing it for generations to come.

Anyone wishing to donate may do so online at their website via mail at Texarkana College Foundation, 2500 N. Robison Rd., Texarkana, Texas 75599, or by calling Andrus at 903- 823-3125.

Donors will be recognized at a community-wide 90th birthday celebration at Texarkana College this September.

The Foundation is also asking TC alumni and supporters to share their stories about how TC has served them through the decades.Select stories will be posted on their website and Facebook page.
