The Texarkana Texas Police Department has charged a suspect with four separate robberies after he allegedly robbed the same convenience store two days in a row.

Authorities identify the suspect as 23 year old Demarco Martin, of Texarkana Arkansas.
Officers responded to the report of a robbery at the Pasco’s Shell, located at 3400 New Boston Road, on Saturday afternoon.  Martin entered the store and got a six-pack of beer from the cooler.  As he approached the cash register, he allegedly removed a pocket knife from his pants and demanded that the clerk give him the money from the register.  As he fled with the beer and an undisclosed amount of cash, he was pursued by a customer.
After the customer caught up with him, Martin returned the cash to him and continued to run away.  He was stopped shortly afterwards by Officer Clint Akin at the intersection Old Boston Road and Belt Road.  Martin was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bi-State Jail.

In addition to this robbery, Detective James Hargrave determined that Martin was also allegedly responsible for three other robberies that had occurred over the last week in the immediate area.  Martin has now also been charged with the robberies at the Family Dollar Store (3003 New Boston Road) on August 22, Check into Cash (2808 New Boston Road) on August 25, as well as the first Pasco’s Shell robbery on Friday.  In each of those robberies, Martin, is said to have threatened the employee with a pocket knife and demanded money.

Martin is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail on four counts of Aggravated Robbery.  Bond has been set at $100,000 for each charge.
