Texarkana’s Newest Restaurant Offers Cajun Cuisine and Great Food

Texarkana has a new restaurant have you heard? It's called MeOmyO's Bayou Cafe and it's located in the Ol' Cobbler Shoppe building on State Line Ave.

The owner, Trevor Aslin who is originally from Louisiana has always wanted to open up a restaurant that served the type of food he grew up with, good ol' southern cuisine with a touch of Cajun mixed in. The restaurant has only been open for week and at the moment has a limited menu to choose from, but Trevor assured me that when they get everything like they want, it will offer a complete menu. But I have to tell you what I had was really good. I had the Catfish plate which included 3 fresh-made catfish strips, french fries, cole slaw, hushpuppies, red beans and rice, which was really tasty.

My friend had Gumbo and the bread pudding and he said it was delicious!

At MeOmyO's Bayou Cafe all of their food is prepared daily with the freshest ingredients made in their kitchen. Oh, make sure you try their homemade desserts too, like cheesecake and their made from scratch bread pudding Mmm Mmm Good!

MeOmyO's Bayou Cafe is open 11- 8PM Monday through Thursday and Friday and Saturday from 11-9PM  MeOmyO's is located at 2122 North State Line across from Sonic. And visit their newest location at 4059 Jefferson Avenue (formerly Sum Burger).
