Texarkana’s ‘Pink Ride 2014′ Will Assist Local Cancer Patients with Expenses [VIDEO]

It’s time to put on your pink and ride to help those battling cancer. “Pink Ride 2014″ is coming with events scheduled for March 28 and 29. This year’s ride is going to be the biggest so far in the mission to raise funds and assist local folks battling cancer.

Texarkana’s Pink Ride” is a 501C3 Non-profit Organization that has taken on the mission of raising funds to help cancer patients with living costs that insurance may not cover. Mortgage payments, utility bills, food, fuel, family costs, etc… these bills are non-stop, and that’s where “Pink Ride” comes in. They help our local friends and family that are battling with cancer by assisting with a lot of these expenses. So, they can focus on the battle for LIFE!

Pink Ride 2014 is scheduled for March 28 and 29 at the Four States Fairgrounds. Activities begin Friday March 28 at 6:00 p.m. til (?) with the Pink Ball. Be sure to where your pink and dress casual. The Pink Ball will be catered by Outback Steakhouse, there will be live music, and a live auction.

Saturday’s events include the Ride, Bike Games,Vendors, Live Music from local bands, and a Bike & Car Show. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Kickstands up at 10:00 a.m., (rain or shine). You don’t have to ride a bike, cars and trucks are also welcome to join. To wrap up this years events will be a special concert Saturday night by the all female band “Mustang Sally“.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  • Become a Sponsor – You can make a difference in our community by helping Pink Ride in this mission to raise money for Texarkana people that are fighting for their lives.
  • Donate Funds – Ride, on bike or in car. Dance. Each of the Pink Ride events have a small registration fee. The fees are one of the groups main sources of funds for local recipients.
  • Donate Time – Pink Ride Committee members are 100% volunteer. Donating your talents and time enables the committees to make sure all of the “Pink Ride” events and activities run smoothly. Just an hour or two of helping with registration, recruiting sponsors, or even serving sodas puts you in the middle of all of the fun.
  • Donate an Item – The Pink Ride live auctions generate funds to assist the groups recipients with expenses that are not covered by insurance, including out of pocket medical costs and everyday living expenses.
