Texas singer-songwriter Adam Fears was in town Wednesday evening (11/12) for a performance at Fat Jack's. Before the show Adam stopped by the radio station for an interview and to perform his latest single "There's a Girl Out There."Went to watch his show later that night and he put on one heck of show for the crowd in attendance. People swayed and danced to all the songs he played and even took request from the audience. Adam is a very gifted musician who seemed to please the crowd with country favorites from Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Dwight Yoakam and believe it or not, some Bryan Adams and John Mellencamp before the night was up.

Adam surprised the crowd with his impersonation of Willie Nelson by not only sounding like him, but playing like him on guitar. I like the way he mixed the older classic country songs into his set intertwined with his latest songs from his album "Golden Gravel Road" including his current hit on the Texas Charts "There's a Girl Out There." Perhaps one of my favorite songs he did was a song called "All About Jack" a  drinking song with a little twist. It had a Lee Brice kind of vibe to it.

Adam Fears is a musician to be reckoned with and who I think has a bright future in country music. Adam returns to Fat Jack's on Saturday, January 24 with his entire full band so make plans to be there now. I guarantee you'll become a Fears fan for life. He definitely won me over as a fan and supporter.

Here's the video we shot in the Kicker studios prior to his show.
