Texas High Continues to Dominate Kicker Cup Standings

The Texas High Tigers had the night off last Friday but were able to improve on their lead in the Kicker Cup Standings.

Both Pleasant Grove and Arkansas High played last week, however both were defeated. PG fell to Krum, while Arkansas High fell at home to Lake Hamilton. Liberty-Eylau had the night off.

Those results leave Texas High with a commanding lead in the standings.

As we begin the second half of the high school football regular season, the Tigers are 5-0.

Arkansas High, Liberty-Eylau, and Pleasant Grove all stand at 1-4.

This Friday Texas High hosts Sulphur Springs, Arkansas High hosts Benton, Liberty-Eylau plays at Paris, and Pleasant Grove hosts Gilmer.

The Kicker Cup City Championship traveling trophy is awarded each year to the Texarkana High School football team that finishes the regular season with the best over all record.

In its 21st year the trophy is donated by Rogers Trophy and presented by our sponsor Red River Credit Union.

We will go to the winning school's first playoff pep rally and present the trophy to the Head Coach and players.
