Texas Motor Speedway Partners with the National Rifle Association for the ‘N.R.A. 500′

The spring NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway April 13, 2013 has officially been re-titled the NRA 500 with sponsorship by the National Rifle Association.

The NRA 500 will be the first primetime Saturday night race in the 2013 Sprint Cup season. The race title sponsor has been Samsung Mobile since 2002. During "Media Day" at T.M.S. Eddie Gossage revealed the new logo, and had this to say...

The NRA has been involved in the sport for several years and a partner of Speedway Motorsports, Inc. for many years in various aspects, and this race entitlement is just another extension of that business relationship. We look forward to another successful partnership with the NRA for our April race week of activities.”

This is not the N.R.A's first entitlement race in NASCAR. In 2012 the NRA sponsored the NASCAR Nationwide Series race, "The NRA American Warrior 300" at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
