Texas Side City Council To Consider Planned Development District

The Texarkana Texas City Council will take up planned development near the Texas A&M University-Texarkana at tonight's meeting.The council will hold a public hearing and consider an ordinance creating the University Planned Development District which will include land use and design standards for the are from Richmond Road and University Avenue to Summerhill road.

The area will include land near the A&M campus.

Also tonight the council will hold an executive session which will include a look at the remaining candidates for the city manager position. Dr. Larry Sullivan is leaving that position before the end of the summer.

The public is invited to attend the open portion of tonight's meeting which starts at 7 p.m. at Texarkana, Texas City Hall.
