Texas Side Sales Tax Revenue Up

Texarkana, Texas Sales Tax Revenue is up again.CFO Charlie Bassett says the City's Sales Tax collected for February 2012 sales is up 6.4% or around  $64,400 from February 2011. Year to date collections are up 3.31% or $260,000 over the October thru April collection period of last year.

Bassett says this is the second month in a row that the collections are up over 6%. "We budgeted an increase of 2.65%, so we are just a bit up for year-to-date collections over the budgeted percentage."
