Texas Unlimited Band to Perform at 2018 Jeans & Bling Oct. 13

One of my favorite events is coming up on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018. Make plans to attend the 9^th annual “Jeans & Bling” at the Texarkana, Texas Convention Center on Cowhorn Creek 7PM.

This annual fundraiser includes a Texas style BBQ, a Lip Sync Battle featuring some local celebrities and live music from the Texas Unlimited Band. TUB will have you two-stepping, and dancing in the aisles with a variety of Country, Rock, and  Pop, performing songs you know and love. This is the first time this band has ever played in Texarkana and they have shared the stage with country music greats like George Strait, Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Toby Keith and many more.

It’s going to be a fun evening with great food and live entertainment. All guests will have a seat at a beautiful table that will be decorated with fresh fall décor by a newer business in town called Studio 230.  Owner Bryan Callaway is a Silver Sponsor of the event and plans to transform the ballroom with the help of fellow volunteers Paige Mims and Morgan Bennett. You'll be impressed the moment you walk into the event center!

This is thier third year to feature a Lip Sync Battle competition at “Jeans & Bling” which has turned into a crowd favorite.  It will begin at 7:45PM., with a performance by the 2017 Winners, TC Cosmetology.  The four person group has a incredible act planned featuring Tina Turner.  The three competitors are attorneys Jennifer Orgeron and Ben King, and Dr. Omar who is a Radiation Oncologist.  Each competitor has chosen a song, or songs, and will wear costumes and has choreographed a dance routine they will perform.

This year's raffle features two trips for which you do not have attend the event to participate. Staff members will award six nights, seven days to an upscale Destin, Florida, condo and  will award three nights in Branson, along with meal vouchers, an off-road adventure and a $300 VISA gift card. Tickets are one for $15 or two for $25 until the event and $20 each at the event.

Dozens of businesses have been generous in supporting Hospice of Texarkana with an item for their Silent Auction.  Many guests do Christmas shopping and enjoy the variety of items they offer. Debit/credit card payment will be available that night.

Tickets are $60 each and include your meal, two drink tickets and all of the live entertainment.  Tickets will be available at the door, but buying ahead helps to plan the food needed.  They can be purchased online at HospiceofTexarkana.org or drop by their office on Galleria Oaks Drive.

Once again, I have been asked by Stefanie to host this special fundraiser and I look forward to seeing some old friends and some new faces. What is Hospice of Texarkana:

All funds raised stay local and support the community’s non-profit hospice, Hospice of Texarkana.  Specifically, donations and proceeds from this event help to pay down the note of the Hospice of Texarkana Care Center which opened June 1, 2016.  Since that time, nearly 700 patients have received care at the peaceful, lovely facility at 2407 Galleria Oaks Dr., Texarkana, Texas.  The 33 year old agency continues to provide most of its care in two counties in Texas and in seven Arkansas counties.  The agency provided more than $300,000 of unfunded care last year and donations help to offset that amount.
