The Cody Wayne Band Kickoff 2018 Big Bass Clash This Weekend

The 2018 Big Bass Clash is this weekend April 28-29, on Millwood Lake. In addition to a great weekend of fishing for over $75,000 in guaranteed payouts there will be a free concert from The Cody Wayne Band this Friday, April 27, at 6:30PM in downtown Texarkana.

Cody Wayne was the 2017 Texas Country Music Awards Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year. Wayne was just voted Male Vocalist of the Year for the second year in a row for 2018 when the Texas Music Awards were handed out in Arlington, Texas in March. This former marine from East Texas didn't get into the music scene until he was stationed in Japan, according to the website eGuideMagazine.com.

Cody is known for throwing one big party when he's on stage, with lots of high energy and interaction with fans young and old. His style of music is traditional meets southern rock and maybe a little funk before the night is up. Picture Hank Williams Jr., Led Zeppelin, Garth Brooks, Zac Brown Band, and James Brown all mixed together. It's a sound that will have the audience on their feet, dancing and singing along.

Wayne has opened for another East Texas band, Eli Young Band, Neal McCoy, Kevin Fowler, Asleep at the Wheel, just to name of few.
