The Fifth Annual Drive-Thru Live Nativity Set for December 7-8

The Fifth Annual Drive-Thru Live Nativity is set for December 7-8, at First Assembly of God located at 3401 West 7th Street.

The true meaning of Christmas comes to life when over 100 people dressed in costume act out their roles representing the birth of Jesus Christ  As soon as you enter the parking lot you can tune to a special radio broadcast explaining what you are seeing. Hot chocolate will be served to all visitors and candy canes handed out to the kids. You can expect to see lots of animals  sheep, cows, mules, goats, camels and more. Visitors will be asked to take a census and given in gold coin for which then, you pass to the Roman Soldiers in order to gain entrance into the City of Bethlehem. You will feel like you're stepping back in time when you journey through the Bethlehem Marketplace on your way to witness an inspiring scene of Jesus' birth.

Approximately 2,500 people have driven through the live nativity over the past several years. Because of the number of people who come to visit each year the church has implemented changes to the traffic plan in order to help reduce the wait time.

There will be two lanes of traffic driving through the nativity instead of a single file line. A Fast Pass Shuttle Service will be offered, If you want to skip to the front of the line, we will offer a shuttle service to take you through the nativity. The Fast Pass Shuttle Service will meet in the Kmart parking lot and load up riders. The riders will then be shuttled to the front of the line. Once the nativity route is complete, the riders will be returned to their vehicles at the pickup location. Fast Pass Shuttle riders will still get hot chocolate and every other experience of the nativity. In addition, 8 passenger vans and shuttle buses will be allowed to “fast pass” to the front of the line as well. Car pooling is also encouraged.

The Drive-Thru Nativity Scene is free to the public and will be open these hours.

Friday December 7th 7:00 – 9:00
Saturday December 8th 6:00 – 9:00
