With Halloween a little over a month away there are many legends and myths around the state of Arkansas. These stories leave the faint at heart scratching their heads and wondering, is this real or fake?

Which brings me to the haunted railroad tracks in Crossett, Ark., and the eerie light that appears and disappears with no explanation. Of course, the story is similar to the mysterious Gurdon Light another creepy railroad story in Gurdon, Ark. Each one of these stories is a tale of some railroad worker who was working late at night and got struck by a train and decapitated. The light you see is that of the rail worker's lantern looking for his head along the tracks. Visitors say when they approach the railroad tracks they see a bright strange light and as they approach it it disappears and reappears behind them further down the tracks.

So, what do you think? Do you think this area is really haunted or just some kind of supernatural illusion? Have you witnessed this yourself?

Crossett is approximately 132 miles southeast of Texarkana on Highway 82.
