CAM says she and artists like her need a big hug.

Last year was a major year for CAM. She essentially launched her entire career. Of course, it also took a lot of hours out on the road. According to an interview with Country Aircheck, CAM said traveling is the hardest part of launching a career, especially if you are traveling by plane. It's not so bad once you have your own bus, and I would have to agree on this. At least you can stretch out and sleep on the bus without elbowing the person next to you.

However, the travel is a badge of honor, according to CAM.

Getting across the country and playing your record for radio stations is just one of the dues you pay to get into the business. So when you get a chance to meet a new artist, who is traveling like CAM did, she suggests one thing... Give them a hug.

“Whether you like their music or not, you should always give a new country artist a hug — because they are tired and working their butts off.”

Hey, I wouldn't mind hugging CAM. Maybe we could become best friends after that experience.
