In the wake of actor/comedian Robin Williams death there has been new awareness in the news about people who suffer and struggle from depression that often lead to suicide, before they reach out for help. Well, a community group right here in Texarkana want you to mark your calendars for 'The Second Annual Matthew Gaines Suicide Prevention Walk' Saturday, September 20 at Bobby Ferguson Park in Texarkana, Arkansas. Misti Carrell who is organizing the walk hopes to bring awareness on the topic of suicide and to help end the stigma surrounding it. This event is open to anyone and every one of all ages. Sign in and Registration is at 9 a.m. with the walk starting at 10 a.m.

Registration is free, and there will free bottled water and bread provided to feed the ducks as well. There will also be live entertainment from the band Psychedelic Radio.

Participants are welcome to bring a photo of loved ones for the memory wall, and also their own balloon for a Memorial Balloon Release

The Second Annual Matthew Gaines Suicide Prevention Walk  is being sponsored by Walgreens.
