The researchers used a "kitty cam" to monitor the actions of 60 cats in the Athens, GA area recently and found the felines crossing busy roadways, entering dangerous storm drains and encountering wild animals. They also were found stalking and killing numerous varmints including mice, birds, lizards, snakes and even gophers.
