Thomas Rhett says he loves chick flicks. He doesn't just tolerate them; he actually enjoys watching the girly, lighthearted, sometimes emotional movies with his wife Lauren. When he sat down with Sam Alex of Taste of Country Nights, he was put to the test, in a duel of sorts.

For every chick flick title that Alex named, Rhett had to name one too. At first, he was pretty confident. He listed ‘The Notebook,’ ‘How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days,’ and ‘Friends With Benefits’ but all of a sudden, he stopped, saying, "Oh gosh, why am I drawing a blank right now?"

Then, he resumed his confidence, saying, 'New Year's Eve,' to which Alex replies, "Valentine's Day.' That sparked something in Rhett, because he was prompted to answer, 'Labor Day" and claims that although no one has actually heard of it, he saw it, adding, "It like super chick flick."

After a few more titles and a few more "why am I drawing a blank" and "good grief" statements from the 'Get Me Some of That' hitmaker, he conceded his title as chick flick king, at least for the time being.

While Rhett is on the road with Brantley Gilbert and Eric Paslay on the Let It Ride 2014 Tour, he isn't watching chick flicks with his buddies, but they do still have fun. "It's just kinda a lot of chill stuff that's going on," he says.

"We really just hang. We'll go to the gym, shoot some baskets, or ... hang out in the parking lot, put some lawn chairs in the parking lot and grill out."
