Threats Lead to Lock Down and Closure at Two Schools in Hope

The Hope school district was on lockdown for a while today and the University of Arkansas at Hope shut down early today because of threats.A student at Hope High School witnessed a non-student with a gun trying to enter the building. Law enforcement came but the suspect was not found. The lock down was then lifted for all of Hope's school district.

However, the University of Arkansas at Hope did shut down early because of a threat.

Nothing occurred but officials say they shut down as a precautionary measure.

The University of Arkansas -Texarkana remains open.
