Only a few days away it's Railfest 2012 in Downtown Texarkana and Kicker 102.5 is proud to welcome Diamond Rio in concert with Texarkana's newest local band Copper Road opening up the show on the Coors Light Stage.

Railfest 2012 will have something for everyone, including free bounce houses for the kids, crafts booths and vendors, lots of great food and drinks plus a beer garden. Big Jake’s BBQ will also host a championship barbecue cook-off with trophies and cash prizes, including a $1,000 prize to the first-place winner.

Best of all, the evening ends with country stars Diamond Rio in Concert. I can remember when these guys first got together and had their first hit song "Meet In The Middle." I was working for a country station in Hot Springs, Arkansas and they dropped by the studios to introduce themselves. These guys were as nice as they come and they went on to become country superstars for years and had countless hits in the Top 10. With so many bands breaking up over the years I was always impressed that this band always stayed together.

If your fan of Diamond Rio or not, I guarantee you will enjoy these guys when they put on a show, they still sound as good or if not better than they did years ago.

Tickets are only $15 for this show and available at Baskins Western Wear or you can purchase them online, so get yours now to see Diamond Rio live on the Coors Light stage Saturday, May 12, 2012.

Railfest 2012 brought to you by the City of Texarkana Ar,  Metro PCS, Coors Light, Baskins, Red River Federal Credit Union, Moderne Primitives, Texas A&M, Hopkins Ice House, State Farm-Kelli Ashbrook, and Windstream.

Here's some of my favorite Diamond Rio videos from YouTube.
