Texarkana Independent School District is requesting parents/guardians of attending  students and the TISD community to provide feedback during their Progress Survey 2018 open now through April 20.

“Last year, we had students, parents/guardians, staff and the community provide candid feedback about TISD which in turn helped us to develop our Community Based Assessment,” said Paul Norton, Superintendent of Schools.  “This year, we would like for everyone to do a next level survey that will assist us in measuring our progress in five core areas.”

Areas being surveyed include:  Teaching & Learning; Opportunities for Students; Culture & Climate; Facilities & Support Operations; and Graduate Expectations.

The online survey is compatible with any computer, tablet or smartphone.  Paper surveys are also available from all TISD campuses.  All responses are confidential and anonymous.  Most importantly, the survey should take 10 minutes or less to complete.

The survey can be reached online now through April 20.

TISD has partnered with the independent research and communications firm K12 Insight to administer the survey and compile the results.  K12 Insight will be sending email invitations to all who have a current address on file with the district.  Email address will not be used for any other purpose.

No one at the district level will know who participated or be able to connect respondents to their answers.  K12 Insight’s final reports will share only the overall findings, not individual comments or responses.  Data collected will be used by district leadership as they make decisions for the district, engage in strategic planning and share information with the community as an effort to close the loop with different stakeholders.
