It's that time of year when family and friends gather around the Christmas tree in the living room and watch a good old fashioned holiday classic. Recently, the website WhatToDoWithTheKids.com did a survey to find out the Top 10 Family Holiday Movies and TV Specials.My favorite movies to watch every year is 'National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation', and 'It's a Wonderful Life' as for TV specials 'Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer' and "Frosty The Snowman' and 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' are my personal favorites.

2. The CGI animated movie "The Polar Express" starring Tom Hanks.

3. The 1946 B&W classic "It's a Wonderful Life" starring Jimmy Stewart

4. Burl Ives 1964 holiday classic "Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer"

5. The 2004 Will Ferrell comedy "Elf" about a overgrown misunderstood Elf.

6. There was a threeway tie between the holiday classic "A Charlie Brown Christmas", Tim Allen's 'The Santa Clause" and the 1969 holiday favorite "Frosty The Snowman."

7. The re-make live version from 2000 "The Grinch" starring Jim Carey in the lead role.

8. From 1947 the B&W classic "Miracle on 34th Street."

9. The 1989 Chevy Chase movie "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation."

10. And finally, the 1992 movie "A Muppet Christmas Carol."

Others worth watching: "The Christmas Story", "White Christmas" and "Home Alone."
