Last week you may have heard about the flak country star Trace Adkins took for wearing confederate flag earpieces. This is kind of strange he would take heat off wearing these buds since I've seen him wear them before and nothing was said. Anyhow Trace offered up a sincere apology to his fans and to anyone he may offended.

Trace says he meant no offense when he wore a Confederate Flag earpiece on national TV. Trace said, "As a proud American I object to oppression of any kind. To me, the battle flag represents remembrance of my Southern lineage and I'm a descendant of Confederate soldiers who followed that flag into battle. I advocate for the preservation of America's battlefields and honest conversation about our country's history. To those who view the flag as a symbol of racism, that was not my message and I did not intend offense."

In case you haven't heard - Trace Adkins will be among the contestants for Donald Trump’s 2013 NBC show All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.

Adkins will be competing on behalf of the American Red Cross, for which he is a recent addition to the Celebrity Cabinet and spokesperson for its holiday campaign. The American Red Cross is very close to Trace's heart since they were the ones who were instrumental in helping his family when he couldn't be there there when his house burned downed last year.

Last season, The Celebrity Apprentice raised a record $3.1 million for charity.
