Country superstar Trace Adkins is helping send 33 World War II veterans on a free trip to Washington D.C. later this month.

The event is part of the Brookshire’s/ Super 1 Foods WWII Heroes Flight, which gives vets the opportunity to visit the WWII Memorial, the U.S. Capitol, see the changing of the guards at Arlington National Cemetery and more. Trace will perform the national anthem at a public sendoff in Tyler, Texas on May 31st.

Veterans participating in the trip include 32 men and one woman, representing cities and towns from across East Texas, including Tyler, Pittsburg, Jefferson, Kilgore, Flint, Jacksonville, Athens, Gladewater and Lindale.

Trace has always been supportive of our military through the years and has even recorded songs that paid tribute to our men and women.
