The summer season is a season of weight loss searches. Which is Arkansas searching the most?

If I had a nickel for every time I heard the word "diet" in the last few months (even out of my own mouth), I could have retired quite handsomely this summer. With the heat comes more skin and swimsuits. Everyone wants to look good this time of year and I don't fault them for that.

A diet is a good lifestyle change to get you on track for a long life of health.

Personal preferences aside, there have been numerous searches during these summer months for "lifestyle changes." According to Ketogenic.com, the most-searched-for diet is "intermittent fasting." This is where you monitor no only what you are eating, but also what times you are eating. Those who are intermittently fasting will extend time in between meals more than usual. The easiest way to do this is to eat an early dinner, close the kitchen, and not eat again until they have a late breakfast. Keep in mind this is not food deprivation.

Arkansas is taking a different approach to weight loss.

This is according to Women's Health Magazine. Recently they pulled data from Google searches all across the nation and were able to determine which diet is the most popular in each state. Arkansas is Googling "Zone Diet" the most.

This diet is based on a the "zone" which is defined as the "physiological state in which your body is primed to control inflammation." This zone can be determined by a doctor or a text online. It's based on the notion that high levels of inflammation in the body can create future weight gain. If you can keep your body in the zone in which your body is handling inflammation responsibly, your body will begin to unload weight.

Have you tried this? Is it working for you?
