The 2018 Murphy USA Summer Concert Series, presented by MAD and Main Street El Dorado continues this month in Downtown El Dorado.

The Murphy USA Summer Concert Series will be held outdoors at the MAD Amphitheater following a full day of activities lined up downtown featuring monthly Grill contest on the courthouse lawn, classic car cruises around the downtown square, free horse and carriage rides, kids activities in the all new MAD Playscape and Splashpad and El Dorado’s award winning legendary Showdown at Sunset performances continuing on the fourth Saturday of July and August. The rollicking reenactment of the Tucker-Parnell feud will be performed on the steps of the Union County Courthouse beginning at 6PM The Murphy USA Summer Concert Series will have a new location at the MAD Amphitheater  105 Locust St. in El Dorado in Downtown El Dorado. Opening acts begin at 7PM., with headliners taking the stage at 8PM.

According to a press release, the final night, Saturday, August 25, will feature Warner Nashville Recording Artist.

Most folks are still trying to figure themselves out at 22. Morgan knew where he was going from an early age and his parents were always there for him. In the ninth grade, Morgan put together a band of middle-aged musicians who shared his love of Keith Whitley, Merle Haggard and George Jones.

The tall, easy-going, unfailingly polite 22-year-old from Vicksburg, Mississippi, has the look you’d hope for in a young entertainer and the stature to wear a black cowboy hat, a symbol that stands for something in the country music world. And he’s certainly got the chops as an award-winning young performer, who earned recording and publishing deals before turning 20.
