Kicker 102.5 is proud to present Jerrod Niemann at the Four States Fair Thursday, September 12 with opening act "Dixie Tradition."Niemann who hails from Kansas majored in Performance Art Technology at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas where he pretty much studied the history of country music and it's roots with his new album "Free The Music." “This album is my interpretation of how I feel about country right now,” Jerrod says.

Free the Music is a musical journey through a multitude of styles, including country, rock, honky-tonk, Dixieland jazz and reggae. Throughout the 12 songs that make up Free The Music, all of them written or co-written by Jerrod including the first single off the album "Shinin' on Me."

I think the song that really showcases Jerrod's vocal abilities is the powerful ballad "Only God Can Love You More." The song touches on every raw emotion that a person goes through when they lose someone they love.

Jerrod just wrapped up the ACM Lifting Lives Music Camp for individuals with Williams syndrome a genetic condition that causes mental and developmental problems. Jerrod performed with other fellow artists and friends Jake Owen, Love and Theft and former American Idol star Lauren Alaina.

The week-long camp, held in Nashville, allows campers to participate in songwriting workshops, recording sessions and other music-related activities.

Take a look at this video I think is really cool with these students.

If you want to win 4 VIP tickets and backstage passes to meet Jerrod Niemann go the Kicker VIP Club now. The contest ends September 8.
