Winter Weather Advisory for Freezing Rain

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory due to Freezing Rain.The advisory is generally along and north of the Texarkana area. Temperatures at or slightly below freezing, combined with Freezing rain mixed with rain could cause slick spots on bridges and overpasses.

Also, ice could accumulated on higher objects such as trees and power lines to around .10 of an inch or even more in some locations.

Temperatures are expected to slowly climb and precipitation to slowly end later in the day, which will end the weather threat. However temperatures tonight should get down below freezing which could mean slick spots on roadways overnight, particularly bridges and overpasses.
