Well, it didn't take long for this season;s X Factor winner Tate Stevens to get a record deal. It looks like Stevens has signed a record deal with Syco Music/RCA Records Nashville.Stevens is currently writing and recording his debut album, which is set to release in spring 2013. Stevens performed material from Craig Morgan, Lonestar, Garth Brooks, Bon Jovi, Chris Young and Little Big Town on the X Factor this season. I thought Tate did a good job on singing all the artists' songs, but I think singing the song 'Pontoon' with Little Big Town was probably the one that pushed him over the edge.

After signing his 5 Million dollar record deal, Stevens said “I know what we’re doing. I know the direction we wanna go,” Stevens reveals. “It’s gonna be fun. I’m gonna have some stuff that tugs at your heart, country ballads, but I wanna have fun. I’m a fun guy, I love having fun, and I want that to come through on my record.”

BIg & RIch's John Rich was reportedly one of Stevens's first profile writing appointments following the show. The singer and his entirely family are uprooting to Nashville to allow the country newcomer to focus on his forthcoming project full-time.

I'm really excited for Tate and wish him nothing but the best as he pursues his musical career and lifelong dream. This may be too soon to say, but I feel like you will see Tate one day accepting a country music award. The former 37-year-old Missouri road worker just got a different type of road work called On The Road. Country music just landed a new star. Look out Garth!
