I think an adventurous spirit resides in most Texans, some more than others, and we all find different ways to seek out our own adventures. Some like to hunt, some travel to far-off lands, and still other Texans like to find little-known places to explore, like, maybe, hiking through a 100-year-old abandoned zoo in Cisco, Texas.

A couple of months ago we all heard the news about a kangaroo named Rocky that was out at Spring Lake Park. We found out what Rocky has been up to and it looks like he's been busy spreading cheer all around the Texarkana area.
Have you ever heard of Round Top, Texas? Most people have not, but back in February my nephew, Will Lynde, hosted and performed at a venue there I can only describe as magical. It's called the Round Top Festival Institute, and lucky you, I took pictures.
I had to work for a bit on Saturday so I wasn't able to make it right when the gates opened but about an hour later I arrived at the Wagons for Veterans 2024 fundraising event at the Four States Fairgrounds. Happily, there was still plenty of that delicious open fire and steel pot/Dutch oven food left to fill me up. Man, was it ever good.

They are all cities in the Great State of Arkansas, and there are probably a few other things they have in common as well. But the main thing we're alluding to here is they are all cities in Arkansas where famous Hollywood actresses were born.
