Catch of the Year: UAHT’s 32nd Annual Fish and Chicken Fry

It's almost that time of the year for the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana's 32nd Annual Community Fish and Chicken Fry on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

32nd Annual Community Fish and Chicken Fry in Hope, Arkansas

This popular drive-thru event is scheduled from 4:30 PM until 7 PM.  Drive-thru only means fast, easy pickup. Just follow the signs to the Rapert Library entrance through the main campus drive. Plates are $15 each, and drinks are not included. The Hope Lions Club will be cooking up some of the best fried fish and chicken you ever sank your teeth into.

Money Raised Helps Fund Student Scholarships at UAHT

Best of all, every plate supports the UAHT Foundation, helping to fund student scholarships, such as the U Can Scholarship, which provides a free class for residents of Hempstead, Nevada, Miller, and Lafayette Counties.
