Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is coming back for another big year in Downtown Shreveport. The show started in 2015, and has grown into one of the premiere events in the Shreveport-Bossier area. Not only that, the show has been the largest consistently active comic con style show in the entire state of Louisiana.

This year's event is August 19th-21st at the Shreveport Convention Center, which is connected to the Downtown Hilton hotel. The venue is just down the road from Shreveport's casinos, and just over the river from gaming in Bossier City.

Geek'd Con is a mash-up of celebrity meet and greets, geeky shopping, cosplay, games, prizes, and fun. With more than 200 vendor booths set up, with vendors from across the US bringing collectibles, custom artwork, clothing, comic books, action figures, jewelry, and more. There will be video games and simulators on-hand as well.

Plus the cosplay contest, brought to you by the US Marines, will feature $2,500 in cash prizes!

There will also be a ton of comic book creators added to the lineup for 2022. Including the creator of X-Men member Rogue Michael Golden, Marvel's Zombie King Arthur Suydam, and Geek'd Con fan favorite Roland Paris, among others. Not only that, but Scout Comics will be live with multiple creators, and a custom Geek'd Con variant cover for one of the biggest titles.

The main headliners for the event are three of the original cast members from the iconic horror movie Scream. Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, and Jamie Kennedy are all scheduled to appear on Saturday and Sunday for pictures and autographs with fans.

Lillard and Ulrich played the original Ghost Face killer in 1996's Scream movie. The film that launched a franchise, and spun a new direction for horror movies. Kennedy appeared in the first three Scream films in the franchise, playing the character Randy Meeks. He's the guy that lays out the "rules" of horror movies, a scene that has become iconic in the genre.

There will be plenty of other guests coming to the show as well. They will be live in Shreveport to sign autographs and take photos with fans. While sharing stories and laughs along the way. You can get tickets here, and see the complete lineup here:
