(Mix 93-1) It is going to be a big weekend. It's week two of East Texas high school football, and the Powerball Lottery jackpot is sitting at a staggering $1.7 billion with a cash option of $770.3 million.

So, football fever is in the air. The NFL kicks off the season tonight with the Dallas Cowboys taking on one of their rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, who are the reigning Super Bowl champions. It is going to be a good game to catch on NBC.

Locally, there's action on the gridiron tonight. Cayuga, Mt. Enterprise, Tatum, and Frankston will have those lights on tonight. Fans will be sticking to those hot bleachers tonight and tomorrow night, cheering on their favorite team.

Another kind of fever that is on the rise is lottery fever. The Powerball Lottery jackpot continues to grow and has become the fourth-largest jackpot total in the game's history. Let's hope someone from East Texas wins this life-changing jackpot with Saturday night's drawing.
