Jason Aldean Hosting 2018 Concert for the Cure at His Bar
Jason Aldean is a longtime champion in the fight against breast cancer, and he's bringing his Concert for the Cure home to Nashville this year.
The show will take place Oct. 3 from Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, with all proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen Central Tennessee.
"I've witnessed firsthand how much this horrible disease impacts women and their families," Aldean says in a press release about the event. "My fans know how important it is to me to be part of this fight, and they’re a big reason we’re able to contribute so much to Komen each year."
Through the years, Aldean has helped raise more than $3.6 million for Komen Affiliates around the country. This year’s event will not only include an intimate performance from Aldean himself, but ticketed attendees will also be treated to a three-course meal.
It was in 2004 that Aldean began his partnership with Komen after losing a close friend to breast cancer. And it’s just one of the many ways that the superstar puts all of his success to good use. Earlier this month, he held his third-annual Concert for the Kids charity event in Georgia, with proceeds going to the Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital, a part of Navicent Health.
“There are a lot of reasons I love doing what I do, but being able to give back to these kids and their families is definitely really important to me," he says "We’ve been able to help support the build of an entirely new facility, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the community shows up for the hospital this year and what we can do to keep helping the people there."
