Christmas is almost here! Hard to believe we just celebrated Thanksgiving and now we are just a little less than two weeks away from Christmas Day. I hope you have a chance to reflect on all your many blessings and remember the real reason for the season. It's not about how many presents you get under the tree or how much you plan on spending this year. It's simply about LOVE, about giving, about family, and friends. It's about the love GOD gave us with his greatest gift of all, the birth of his only son Jesus Christ our lord and savior.  I'm reminded of this time of year of great memories I had with my Mom and Dad growing up. All the special memories we shared as a family, the special moments like sitting around the piano singing Christmas carols. The friends and kinfolks who came to visit during this beloved time of the year. The great festive food my mom would cook which included Ham,Turkey, pinto beans, dressing and yes, homemade Hot Tamales. I would never trade the memories I have for anything. Those were some of the best times of my life. And my parents no matter what the situation, always made it the best Christmas ever for me and my brother. Through the years we all move on with our life and now I find myself making new traditions with my immediate family and more memories that will last a lifetime.

So this Christmas I hope you spend it with someone you love and I wish you the Merriest Christmas ever and all the best for a healthy Happy New Year!
